Marriage under Hindu Law binds two heterosexual together for life time, except certain exceptional circumstances. The Researcher has made best efforts in defining the concept of restitution of conjugal rights while addressing the same from different angles with the support of relevant case law. The researcher also made certain suggestions towards the proper use of conjugal rights remedy and to strengthen the marriage institution in the contemporary society. |

With the Passing of time the myth of stability and sacredness of marriage bond is gradually wither away , and hence, the increasing ratio of matrimonial litigation all over the country confirms such situation. Matrimonial laws were evolved to protect the rights of the spouses, but it is also true that law cannot enter into the bedroom of individuals. However, the personal law as a subject therefore, has to be understood in the perspective of social conditions. |
