dc.description This research deals with the various powers granted to the Governor under the Constitution of India. The Constitution of India under Article 163 has granted discretionary power to the Governor which he can exercise without consulting the Council of Ministers. But the Constitution does not spell out the functions that the Governor that the Governor can discharge in his discretion. en_US
dc.description.abstract India has a Parliamentary form of Government. The Indian Constitution possess all the essential characteristics of a federal Constitution. There is a system of double government in India such as the Central Government and the State Government . The powers of both the governments are also divided. In the State the Governor is regarded as the executive head of it. en_US
