dc.description The scope of this dissertation encompasses a comprehensive analysis of the human rights obligations of corporations under international law, focusing on the necessity for corporate adherence to human rights standards, examining historical and contemporary instances of corporate abuses, and evaluating direct and indirect obligations through international laws, conventions, and soft law instruments. It also includes an assessment of the Indian legal framework’s effectiveness in protecting against corporate abuses and an analysis of judicial responses across various regional human rights courts an attempt has also been made to study the nuances of corporate responsibility in the era of neo-liberalization. en_US
