dc.description This dissertation primarily examines the legal frameworks, principles, and applications of Hindu, Muslim law, Christian and Parsi law. The time constraint placed restrictions on the researcher. Additionally, a significant portion of the study was conducted using easily accessible books and online resources. Examining the viability and appropriateness of a “Uniform Civil Code” involves a number of important considerations. First, it comprises assessing the legal foundation for a “Uniform Civil Code” and presenting arguments in support of its implementation, taking into account factors like national integration, equality as a principle in gender, and social cohesion. Second, it requires studying various religions personal laws. en_US
