dc.description The legal framework of the Sixth Schedule of the Indian Constitution, specifically focusing on its role in further of tribal self-governance in the NE states of Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram. The scope encompasses a detailed examination of the provisions that empowers ADCs to legislate and govern tribal areas under the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution of India. It aims to analyse these provisions which preserve and promote traditional tribal practices, customs, and systems of governance. The research will also explore the legislative, administrative, and financial autonomy granted to the ADCs. This study has several limitations such as the research is heavily reliant on secondary data sources, such as government reports, legal documents, scholarly Arts, online journal and case studies. The availability and reliability of such data may pose challenges, particularly in terms of up-to-date and comprehensive information. en_US
