Description:
The researcher in this dissertation will exclusively concentrate on minors who are either
in conflict with the law or alleged to have committed an offense. The Indian Juvenile justice system sees these children as unable to commit crimes as they are believed to not have that mental capacity as a result prioritizes their reintegration and rehabilitation into society thus they go unpunished which doesn’t compare to the toll the victim goes through due to which it is high time for a balance that those who can be rehabilitated they need to be rehabilitated and those who commit serious crimes they are required to be penalized once they turn eighteen as they are adults with stricter punishments equal to the crime they committed thus ensuring deterrence for further crimes.
